Palm Springs and Surrounding Areas

If you are after great weather and sheer number of golf courses to play, Palm Springs is an easy choice. The sun is always shining on the Coachella Valley, and there are more golf courses per capita here than anywhere else in the world. Choices range from easy resort layouts to challenging PGA Tour stops. When you are done playing, the upscale shopping centers and restaurants will keep you plenty busy.

Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail

The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, or the RTJ Trail as it is commonly called, is a collection of eleven golf facilities scattered across Alabama. There are 468 holes in all as part of the Trail, and each is memorable in its own way. Alabama has great golf weather, although the occasional thunderstorm can interrupt an afternoon round. Many of the courses are accompanied by beautiful accommodations.

Bandon Dunes Golf Resort

The tagline of Bandon Dunes Golf Resort is ‘Golf as it was meant to be’ – and it’s hard to argue. The facility has grown to hold four full-size 18 hole courses, in addition to a nine hole short course. The Pacific Ocean is always within earshot when on the property, and many of the holes run right alongside the crashing waves. Off the course, Bandon Dunes is beautiful in its simplicity. There are nice restaurants and rooms, but the focus is always first and foremost on the golf.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Do you really need reasons to go to Vegas? If you are looking for a way to justify a trip to Sin City, golf just might be it. Away from the glitz of The Strip, there are countless beautiful golf courses awaiting your arrival. The weather in Las Vegas is typically perfect for golf, and many hotels offer shuttles to and from area courses. With courses that will work for all different budgets, you can see how your luck is going in the casino before deciding how much to spend on your round of golf.

TPC Sawgrass

If you are a golf fan, you have no doubt watched many a player sink their chances at glory on the 17th hole of the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course. If you would like to take a shot at it for yourself, head toward Jacksonville, Florida for a golf getaway. There are actually two courses on the ground of the TPC Sawgass, so you can have some variety while you stay and play. If you are able to navigate your ball onto the 17th green safely, you will surely have a memory to last your golfing life.
